Florida Governor Rick Scott has signed into law legislation that increases the amount of tax credits available for contributions to K-12 scholarship organizations to $229 million for the 2012-13 school year. The legislation also eliminates the requirement that students in second through fifth grade have to have attended a public school the year before they receive a scholarship.
