This November, Floridians will have the chance to vote on a proposed amendment to the Florida Constitution that would protect the state funding of faith-based social service programs. The proposed amendment would eliminate the current prohibition in the Constitution against government funding of religious institutions. The amendment effort is similar to the unsuccessful Faith and Family Services Amendment promoted by former-Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue.
