Earlier this month, GOAL held a Corporate Appreciation Breakfast to recognize and thank our corporate contributors for improving educational opportunities in Georgia. The event was a great success. Attendants enjoyed networking with one another, receiving a GOAL program update from President, Lisa Kelly, and hearing from our featured speakers. I would like to extend a special thank you to Symphoni Owens-Hernandez, GOAL Scholarship Recipient at The Ron Clark Academy, Dave Davies, Headmaster of Deerfield-Windsor School in Albany, and Chris Clark, President and CEO of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce for their engaging and informative remarks.

A written trancript of his remarks can be found here.
Additionally, Lisa Kelly was invited to speak at the Georgia Public Policy Foundation’s Leadership Breakfast celebrating National School Choice Week in late January. The topic of discussion at this event was "Breaking Down Barriers to High Quality Education in Georgia."
As many of you know, nearly $3 million in Qualified Education tax credits have already been consumed for 2012. We expect the cap to be met by early August. We will continue to do our best to inform the corporate, legislative, and taxpayer community of the value and impact of this wonderful program. We appreciate your hard work and advocacy for Georgia families to obtain a quality education for their children.
